East Carolina University, located in Greenville, NC, is now the fourth-largest university in North Carolina and the only one in the state with schools of medicine, dentistry, and engineering, in addition to extensive Arts and scientific programs. North Carolina Central University prepares students to succeed in the global marketplace. Consistently ranked as a top Historically Black College or University and Best Regional University in the South by U.S. News & World Report, NCCU offers flagship programs in the sciences, education, law, business, nursing and the arts.

The University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo was founded in 1967, and since 1974, UPRA has been accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Today UPRA has over 3,600 students enrolled and offers more than 60 programs.
